4th of July Jello Shots - Easy Recipe

4th of July Jello Shots: Red, White and Blue Jell-o Shots for Independence Day!

Happy Independence Day!  If you're like most Americans, you probably have a cookout planned, or plan on attending one.  You've probably procrastinated.  And now, you're probably looking for something quick, easy, and patriotic to make.

Fear not!  An easy crowd-pleaser (for adults) is 4th of July Jello Shots.  They are quick and easy, and disappear faster than the crowds after the fireworks are over.

Ingredients:

RED JELLO SHOTS:
Follow the instructions on the back of the box, and replace the vodka for half of the cold water.  See - easy.  Makes about 20-25 1 ounce plastic shot glasses worth.

BLUE JELLO SHOTS:
Follow the instructions on the back of the box, and replace the vodka for half of the cold water.  See - again, easy.  Since this is literally the same as red with different flavoring, you can imagine this recipe also makes about 20-25 1 ounce plastic shot glasses worth.

WHITE JELLO SHOTS: Errr... these actually aren't that appealing to me.  You'll probably comb the internet and find something with evaporated milk and clear gelatin - ewww.  instead, why not try...

WHITE PUDDING SHOTS:
  • 3.4 ounce box of Instant Vanilla Pudding
  • 1 cup of Milk
  • 1/4 cup Godiva White Chocolate Liquer
  • 3/4 cup of Birthday Cake Vodka
  • 8 ounces of Cool Whip
For this, mix your ingredients together and whisk to remove any of the instant pudding clumps.  Fold in the cool whip afterwards until no yellow streaks of vanilla pudding remain.  TASTE as you go, because this can wind up tasting really liquer-y, and you may want to modify to add more milk and less liquer as you go.  Kudos to Endless Simmer where I found the cupcake pudding shot recipe.

Last - DRINK RESPONSIBLY, don't drink and drive, don't text and drive, and enjoy!
